Vintage Blue Pansy Lady - Free Art

One of the themes I like to use the most in my card making is - Elegant Ladies. I have some lovely lady designs that I can share with folks and this is one of them.
Do hope you like the completed topper.  Click on image and then save to PC

Lilac My Fair Lady Card

I really like the My Fair Lady designs by Debbi Moore

I used one of those, to make this card.  Embossing the layer behind and adding swirls (Marianne Dies) for some delicate embellishments.

Finished off with a delicate glitter bow.

I used one of my  Glitter Girls embossing boards to make the layer, the christmas door shape. Works well with the shape of the design.

Smaller, Simple and Fun Cards

I sometimes make small cards, that tend to be more simple due to the lack of space available on a small card.
I used a die cut oval frame, which is very pretty and just the right size for a small card.
The topper is from a Making Cards Mag, fun, and funky silouhette design
I went for a delicate paper on this one.
This is another small card that I made, using a small oblong die frame, with that lovely patterned edge.

This card I used a rub on fairy design, rubbing it onto the matt silver frame I had cut.
I coloured the punched butterfly with cosmic paints, doesnt show well on the picture, but it does have a lovely sheen in the light

I went a bit more funky with the paper on this one, so this card is a bit more bold

Small cards, but fun :D

Forest Girl Card

I really love this artwork by Josephine Wall. It's a craft CD collection I got from Joanna Sheen and probably one of my favourites.

I spent a few weeks making the designs into 3D that I would use, this is the first time Ive used this image.
I love the forest animals, that border the girl.  They are so sweet.

I did add glitter to the flowers in the girls hair, but it doesn't show in photo.

Josephine Wall's artwork seems to be quite fantastical. You get images within images. So the more you look the more you find :D

Vibrant Festive Green Art Deco Lady Card

Well I hope my week of festive cards has inspired others to start theirs. I have about 90 festive cards to make a year so it's never to early for me to start.

I went for a more traditional colour theme for this card.

I used the art deco lady topper from the Making Cards Mag.

The layer is cut out with a xcut frame and embossed.

I also used a swirl die (Marriane) and Poinsettia die (Marianne).  I liked the affect of using this swirl die with the Poinsettia die. I cut the swirl out with patterned card and the poinsettia with glitter card.
The gem made for a nice centre piece.

Again glitter was added to the design, do wish it would show up better.

Blue Snowflake Festive Art Deco Lady Card

For this card I used an Art Deco lady design from the Making Cards mag and backing paper.

I did add a bit of glitter to the art deco lady, but as usual it's not really showing.

I used my snowflake cuttlebug die and my holly vine memory box die.

I liked the silver affect for the holly vine, and embossed the embellishment too. I added gems to the snowflakes.

I do like art deco theme, and hope to make more for festive cards this year.

Filigree Festive Tree Card

This card is made with a topper and matching paper from the Making Cards Mag.

I like the filigree pattern in the tree, and though it's not shown, I have added glitter to that delicate design

I used my Holly Vine die (Memory Box) and Poinsettia Die (Marianne) to make the embellishments.

This was a different way of using the Holly Vine, cutting it in half and laying it behind the Poinsettia.  I really like this affect :D

Cool blues and silver for this card. Maked me shiver when I made it, felt so crisp - LOL

Letters to Santa Card

This festive card has a few different elements.

The topper is a Faye Whittaker design, from a Craft CD
Much more festive this one, do like the little dog waiting for the kids to post their letters.

The embossed layer, was one that a friend sent me, and I like the affect of seeing part of it peeping behind the topper

I used a purchased tree topper for the embellishment, love the gems that came on it.

Lovely cool blue colours, I do like to use other colours for festive cards and I find blue has a nice crisp look.

Red Festive Swinging Girl Card

I have decided to make xmas cards for this week.  Made this card at the weekend. And hope to post up some others throughout the week.
With the recent cold spell it's been easy to be in the mood for making xmas cards.

I used a Faye Whittaker design for the topper, from the Craft CD I got from Joanna Sheen.
Such a deliate design, more winter than festive, but works well for a festive card

I purchased the glitter baubles and made the bow to go with those.

The paper is from my festive paper collection, which I thought was quite striking.

Simple, but hopefully affective :D

Bright Glitter Floral Card

The recent cool weather has made me long for warmth.
I can't help but wonder were is our summer!

So to cheer myself up, I made this very summery card.
I got in the mood to use the detailed Cheery Lynn frame.

I matched the tag, paper with the gold in a lovely  floral rub on (which is also very glitterly)

Turned out to be a nice cheery, warm looking card.

Flourish Bird and Flowers Card

A friend gave me a lovely sheet of Kanban birds. They are quite delicate, with patterned bodies.

I wanted to try and do a bit of embossing on this card.
Do I used one fo my embossing folders on pink card to cover most of the base, leaving a find white border.
I then used Marianne dies to make the flowers and flourish. I cut the flowers out of patterned vellum.

I do like the delicate affect of the patterns in all of the elements on this card, they match quite well

Vintage Floral Flourish Card

I used a detailed Cheery Lynn frame die cut on this card.  It is very hard to cut out on the Cuttlebug, however, I love the finished affect

I used vintage rose paper for a base. The Flourish frame is cut out with pink glitter card.
I used a flourish die cut shape and added a couple of paper flower toppers and heart gems.
The roses are a glittered, embossed sticker.
Turned out to be quite a delicate card

I made this card for the Flower Power Challenge on Joanna Sheen's Blog

Watching Birds Card

This is a card made with a Faye Whittaker design, from a craft CD I got from Joanna Sheen

I've used a bit of this nostalgic artwork since getting this CD in January.  It's such nice arwork.

I used a die border and embossed the card for the border section, and quite like that affect.

I like the affect of border patterns, though not always sure if I apply them to my cards very well
