Butterfly and Floral Card

I subscribe to Debbi Moore's Inspirations Craft Mag. I find it the best for my taste.

This month there were a selection of free butterfly and floral toppers.
I'm not always very creative with these kinds of toppers.  I used my Crealies Floral die to make the lilac toppers to go with the free designs.
A simple card.

Glitter Floral Festive Card

I like to do traditional cards for xmas, however, at times I try do something a little different

I decided to try and use the Cheery Lynn detailed frame die, cut out in dark green glitter card.
Mounted it on festive tree patterned vellum.
But what would make it more festive, well it had to be the poinsettia flower die  - Marianne Die - which I cut out using  patterned red paper.
And linked the poinsettia with my swirl die - Marianne Die

I quite like the affect, looks very modern, something different.

I also made this card for the 52cct June Embellishment Challenge

Dolphin Card

I often see crafters making cards that are inspired by their interests or their surroundings.

I wouldnt necessarily say that I do this alot.  Though I like animals, flowers and the countryside. So perhaps a few of my cards do reflect what I like.

I subscribe to Debbi Moore's Inspiration Mag and the CD that came with it this time was  - Under the Sea.
I really liked the artwork, as always it is stunning and when I saw this dolphin design I had to make a card.

The reason I made it was due to my recent holiday to Scotland, on the Caithness Coast. I have been to this part of Scotland a few times and I am always stunned by the coastal scenes.

Apparently you can see dolphins off this coast, though I have yet to be that lucky.

This is a photo of the dramatic coast line of Caithness. There are also wonderful white beaches too, but when you see sheer cliffs like this, it is worth the walk to get to these views.
Got to have a head for heights mind :D

Snowman Family Festive Card

I had this Decoupage Sheet for a couple of years and forgot about it.
There is glitter on the pyrimid design, though so delicate it doesnt show in this card

I decided to keep it simple, and just added a couple of flourishes - Marianne Dies - and embellished them with gems

Purple is a colour I love to use for festive cards, it looks quite modern :D

I made this card for the 55 CCT June Challenge

Art Deco Couple Festive Card

I sometimes think my blog should be called my Festive Cards blog - :D

The fact is, I need to make twice as many festive cards in a year than I do birthday cards. So it is fortunate I like making festive cards.

I so like Art Deco themed cards, so it is always so nice to be able to make festive art deco cards.
This is a Debbi Moore art deco design, a festive couple, which I made into a 3D design.  I used one of her paper designs to compliment the topper.

The poinsettia's were made with a Marianne die, cut out with patterned, glitter card. And I used a merry christmas wording embossing folder on the gold layer.

A bow and tag to finish. I always like to cut my own tags for putting wording on a card, I like the affect as I find putting peel off wording right onto the base card looks a little flat.

Bright Roses Topper - Free Art

I really enjoy making my own toppers for making cards from the large selection of artwork I have on CD.  Quite often I make my own frames, but this time I have combined a ready made frame with a bright rose design.  So this is something, bright and summery.   Click on the image then save to PC.

Die Cut Lampost Festive Card

I got a Marianne Lampost and Sign die earlier this year.  I got it orginally, to add interest for male cards.
However, when I began playing with the lampost, I realised I could use that for festive cards too

This is the first card I've made using the Lampost die, and I decided to give myself an extra challenge by using mostly die cut shapes on a card.

All of the elements, apart from the bow, was cut out using the various die cut shapes I have.
I used a bauble embossing folder to add texture to the layers, and a holly embossing folder to add pattern to the holly leaf.

I quite like the combination of all these dies, and would like to see how a combination of dies work with pattern festive papers

Vintage Lady Card

I made this card using a Debbi Moore design.

I love the artwork, it reminds me of the Edwardian age.

I embossed the mat silver layer, added a double bow and kept the overall card simple.

I really like the ornate artwork on the frame of this design, its so delicate

Bows with Elegant Lady Card

I love making elegant lady cards, the garments are so nice, something I rarely get to wear
This was a little bit of challenge as it was also a small card.

I made this card using a design from Debbi Moore's Craft Mag
I added glitter to the swirl details on the dress, which I think you can just about see.
I used a Glitter Girls embossing board to do the first layer and embossed it with one of my embossing panels. The card is textured, mat gold, which is nice for a change.

There is a bow on the design and I added another, white bow to compliment it.

I made this card for the Crafty Boots Bowtastic Challenge

Summer Flowers, Swirls and Flourishes

I wanted a summery card and found a lovely summer flower 3D design sheet in my collection

I used a bright paper which included swirls and made the flourishes with a Marianne Die.

The tag has a glittered embossed Sun Flower too.  Which I hope gives the whole card a summery feel

I made this card for the following challenges

Challenge 26 - Deep Ocean Swirls Challenge

Holly Lampost Festive Card

I made this card with a Flowersoft Lampost topper that I've had for a long time.
Added a little festive coloured flowersoft to the base.
The panel at the side is embossed with holly vine pattern, both layers
And then I used my Holly Vine die (Memory Box) cut out in glitter card and added red gems

I'm quite pleased with the final card, looks quite classy.

Made this card for the Winter Wonderland Holly Challenge
