Purple Lilac Card

Again, tackling my stash for this card
I have a nice selection of 3D stickers, ones Ive had for ages and never got around to using.

I used one of the lovely stickers on this card - the Lilac.

I also wanted to use some of lovely patterned papers, so that made up the first layer, but I also used the same papers for the flower topper - using a Crealies Flower cutting die
I used the Marianne Frame cutting die with mirror board - I do like the embossign detail on that frame
And this time used the smaller square of the die too, embossing it (though that detail is lost a little under the iris)
Used my favourite swirl die by Memory Box

Love this card, there is so much to see. The colours and textures and shapes have worked well for me here

Multi Layered Card

I decided to have a little play with layers with this card.
Even tried to follow a sketch, something I find very hard to do

I embossed a lovely pattern into a card, and used a Spellbinder Border die for another section of card.
The flower topper was a 3D sheet I had in my stash for ages - it was quite detailed to cut out which is why I think it had been in there so long

I made the bow with lovely pink organza ribbon, my favourite type of ribbon

The individual elements are nice, Im just not sure they all work so well the way Ive done then.

Cream Regency Lady Card

I used a Debbi Moore Topper on this card from her Regency artwork. Stunning and delicate.

I used a Marianne Frame Cutting die, with it, the circular topper working well with the circular frame
The corners are made with a Cutting die that came with that frame set - adding the gems does make them look interesting

And I used the Memory Box swirl Cutting Die to add a bit of interest too.
I really like this card, used different patterned cards with the dies which all work in well with the colours on of the Regency Lady.
This is the kind of card I was hoping to make with my new dies :D

Peel Off Vase and Dies Card

I had a challenge card to make which had to include Peel Offs.

I have a small collection of quite pretty peel offs, which have a gilded look to them.

I used a Vase peel off, and stuck it to the same backing paper that I used on this card.
I also used that backing paper to punch out the flowers
And layered it all on a Circular Marianne Frame Die
Embossed the top layer of that die with one of my embossing folders - so nice to get to use a folder :D

And the Butterflies and Swirls are also Marianne cutting dies.

Im quite pleased with this card and Im also very pleased with how much nicer my cards are turning out with using the Frame Dies.

All In Pink Card

I got some patterned layering toppers from a Craft Creations mag and used them as a center piece on this card.

I picked the pink tones for the backing paper and pink floral paper for the embellishments -to work with the pink shades of the central layers.

The flowers are Marianne Cutting Dies, the swirls are Nellies Cutting Dies.
I really like the Marianne floral dies Ive got, this one as a nice punched layer that looks quite delicate

Ribbon, gems and patterned tag to finish off.
A simple card, though does have a nice affect around the center layers.

Ive entered this into the following challenges -
ABC Challenge - Just as you Like
Anything Goes Challenge - Seeing Double

Indian Dufex Lady Card

A dufex 3D sheet I have had in my stash for ages and finally used.
The design really is lovely and a nice change in theme - I dont have any other Indian themed designs.

I used a Spellbinder embossing folder to add texture to the mirrored layer
And I used a Memory Box Swirl die, and Marianne Butterfly die to make the embellishment.

I was hoping for a delicate, but interesting card, think I managed it :D

Pink Art Deco Lady

A Debbi Moore topper was used for this card, from my stash.
Another thing I want to do this year is combine more toppers with cutting dies.  I got the chance with this card.

The embellishment was made using a Memory Box Swirl die, a Marianne Floral Die and a butterfly topper.

I do like how that worked out and they compliment the topper quite nicely.

I see alot of rubber stamped images encorporting cutting dies, but not so many digital/printed toppers.  So hoping I can inspire others to use their toppers in this way

All In Blue Card

Actually this card isnt all in Blue, but a lot of it is using blue shades :D

I wanted to use as many dies as I could as well as embossing folder to make this card.  See what I could create using my Big Shot

I got some lovely papers in a craft mag and I used them for backing layer and also for cutting out the flower - using a Crealies Cutting Die

The frame is cut out with a Marianne Cutting Die, and I embossed the middle section using a Spellbinder folder - lovely depth to the pattern.

The stalks that I added are also a Marianne Cutting Die it came with the Square framed set Ive got - thought it would work well with a flower.
Finished off with a bow and sentiment.

I do like the unusual shapes with this card, kinda eye catching.

Ive entered this card in the following challenges -
 Craft Boots Blue Challenge
That Crafty Place - Anything Goes
My Time to Craft - Embossing

Lady with Fairies - Free Art

I have a stunning collection of vintage fantasy artwork and will be posting up a few this year.

This one is so elegant, and you see a lot in this design.

Hope other crafters enjoy using this topper to make a card, click on the image and them save to your PC

Fancy Framed Pink Floral Card

Goodness this year is flying in already.
I have finally done something with the one of the fancy cutting die frames I got this year.

I decided to use a small topper, tag and backing paper from a craft mag.  So I needed to fill the rest of the card.

Also I got myself some square shaped base cards, something I've rarely worked with.

Went for pink, well as much as possible with the colour tones.  I used the Marianne Frame cutting die (cut with pearlised card), a Marianne Flower cutting die (the middle is actually from the frame), and a Memory Box Swirl cutting die (love this new die)

I think this is one of the nicest cards Ive made so far with cutting dies, and I have a few idea how I may use this frame with digital toppers too.
