Pink Metallic Rose Card

Its Summer, at last :D  Thought this card would reflect the time of year.

I made this card for a Card Demo.  It was made using a lovely Metallic 3D sheet

The colours are quite delicate, so I focused on pale white and pinks.

I used a Marianne Frame die and Memory Box Swirl die too.  Do like how the frame die mades an interesting pattern for the layering

The base card is actually embossed, purchased that way.  Very delicate though, so quite hard to see in this photo.

Surprised the photo of this came out so well, Metallic designs are normally so reflective when taking photos.

Playing Elephants Card

I used a Jayne Netley Mayhew design from a Joanna Sheen craft CD to make this card

I kept it simple, as I thought it would be a good one for Men.  The elephants are so nice, playing with their trunks.  Such nice detail in the artwork

Went with warm gold and peach colours, to reflect the heat of their natural home

Festive Red Candles Card

I am getting into the swing of things with this years festive cards.
Keeping them reasonably simple at first, just to get me back into christmas themes.

This digital topper is from my large collection of artwork, one Ive not used before.

I kept this simple and just added a Poinsettia embellishment - made with Mariannes Poinsettia Die.
I am really liking this bigger die :D

Focused mainly on red tones - when I could - for this card, to blend in with the candles.

American Steam Train Card

I made this card from a Debbi Moore Craft CD.
It's in vintage tones, which are quite nice.
I kept it simple, as its for a Male card, and just used peel off corners and an X Cut layering die.

Kept with the brown tones, went for salmon and copper, which blended in well with the train.

I feel a little frustrated when I make Male themed cards, as you just cant frill them up - LOL

Ive entered this into the Joanna Sheen Fathers Day Challenge

Peacock Feathered Lady Card

I used a Josephine Wall design, from a Joanna Sheen craft CD to make this card

I love Josephine's artwork, its so striking and of course so interesting.
You see so much in her fantastical artwork

I went with blues and black for this card in colour theme. Its very bold, but I quite like the affect

I made the embellishment with a Memory Box Swirl die (which has is my favourite at present) and Creelies Flower die.

The flower die will not cut out card, so can only use on my papers and vellum. Fortunately I have lots of lovely papers and vellum to use up.

Festive White Rabbits Card

I used a topper from my digital art collection, one Ive had for ages.
I decided to try cutting toppers with my XCut Frame dies, and quite like the affect
It meant the topper worked in well with another layer cut in mirror board (which I also embossed)

One of the new festive cutting dies for this year is a Marianne Snowflake set.  The dies are very detailed, but well worth using, so pretty.
The one is the largest in the set, so had to be particially covered.

Worked in mostly silver and blue for this card, so the red poinsettia in the topper really jumpers out

Great to be doing Festive cards again.

Gold Venetian Lady Card

I made this card with a topper from one of Debbi Moore's Inspiration Craft Mags

I also used my Crafts Too Swirl die, its quite a big one, so I tend not to put too many other elements on a card with it, but I do like the affect.

I worked with bronze/brown tones for this card.  Going for a rustic look.

Festive Bird House Card

My first christmas card for 2013.  It may seem early to some folks, but I have to start early :D
I tend to do a few each month, makes it more enjoyable that way

This year I have decided to use one layer - for the main digital image - on some cards, tried this last year and quite like the results.

I used this topper with a Marianne Frame Cutting die and Marianne Poinsettia cutting die.
I just got this larger version of the poinsettia die this year and very much enjoying it.

I also used a Marianne Holly die, there is a small version and larger version with this set and I like both.

Great to use different textures of card with my dies, used metalic and mat on this card, as well as some embossing of the poinsettia - really nice affect :D
