Cute Bear Carol Singers Card

Another of the cute bear designs I got from a craft mag.

The designs are a little fiddly to cut out, but worth the efford.  I do like the detail in these designs, very nice artwork

Kept this simple, using a small Cutting Die for the snowflakes. And using silver and blue for the colours with this one

Pretty In Pink Fairy Card

I have had this lovely design in my craft stash for ages. One of the reasons I hadnt used it, was due to the fiddly cutting out, especially around the hair.

I am pleased I finally got to use this lovely, delicate fairy design.  Its got a fun, modern look that is a little different for me. As I tend to go for vintage.

I tried to keep with tones for the layers and embellishments that would compliment the fairy's dress.

I made the flower embellishment with Cutting dies, using plain and patterned card from my scraps :D And used a button, something else I rarely use on cards

All In Blue Fairy Lady Card

This was made with one of the Larger toppers from a Debbi Moore craft mag.

I love the detail in this artwork, ever so pretty. The flowers in her hair are so detailed too.

I went with blue and white tones as much as possible with this card.  Just seemed to fit.
The flower is made with vellum and embossed paper scraps - cut out with Cutting Dies.

And finally got to use some larger pearls I had in my stash :D

I really like the cool feel to this card, being all in lovely shades of Blue, quite relaxing on the eye

Elegant Regency Lady in Green

I made this with one of the toppers from a Debbi Moore Craft Mag.
Some of them are quite large , so will on work on a larger card, so I dont get chance to use them all, as I rarely make an A5 sized card

I kept this card simple, as there is so much detail in the artwork. So pretty, and elegant and I especially like the background on this topper

I like vintage fashion, everyone seemed to dress so nice, flowing dresses and beautifully set hairstyles :D

Ive entered this card into the Come and Get it Happy Birthday Challenge

Snowman Carol Singer

I used a Dufex 3D design on this card.

I thought this would make a nice male card, so I used a Lampost Cutting Die to make an embellishment

I dont get chance to use this cutting die very often, its quite ornate, and I tend to like using it on male themed cards - something I dont get to make very often

Ive also enjoyed making 6x6 shaped cards, makes it easier to add embellishments.

Ive entered this card in - Handmade Harbour Midweek Papercraft Challenge 5

Christmas Rabbit Cards

This is a topper I have had in my digital collection for ages.

Its such a sweet design, ever so cute.

I used a Poinsettia cutting die and holly cutting die to make the embellishment.
Using up scrap bits of card and metallic paper.  I love my Cutting Machine for this, being able to use up scraps I use to discard.
Also the money I am saving making my own embellishments :D

I using a cutting frame to shape the topper, quite a nice idea that I hope to use more often.

Snowmen Card

This is a fun snowmen design, in Dufex.
A little fiddly to cut out, with all the element, and dufex is also something I can only cut out in Daylight.

I used a Marianne snowflake cutting die on this card, I love the detail in this die - though it can be a little fiddly to get it to work

I have noticed the more detailed a die is, the hard it is to get it to work.

Its nearly the end of September, already, and I have only made half the xmas cards I need for this year

18 September 2013

Snowman Card

The design on this card is a Dufex 3D from my stash
I am doing well using up my stash, especially as I had held onto the dufex as I thought them too nice to use :D

I used printed vellum on this card, and two sizes of Snowflake cutting dies to make the embellishments.

Wise Men with Camels

This is another dufex design. The 3D affect is quite nice.
I used a new Tree cutting die with holly die for the embellishment.
Thought it would be something a little different.
Again, I think I nice festive card for men.

Wise Men Christmas Card

This dufex design is one Ive had for a while, but not used until now

I used a Marianne frame cutting die, and ivy corner cutting die to make the card interesting
Using red mirror board worked in well with the Dufex design.

This will make a nice festive card for a man.

Not too fancy but still christmasy

Cute Teddy Card

I got a pad of cute teddy designs with a craft mag this year. The pad incudes 3D designs and matching papers

I used one of these designs to make this card, its ever so sweet.

I used cutting dies to make the butterflies and swirl, and added a bow. I sometimes dont get chance to use Bows as much now I use more floral dies :D

10 September 2013

Vintage Floral Fan Card

I had this lovely vintage 3D sheet in my stash, and finally got to use it
The colours are quite muted/subtle. So I kept with that theme for the rest of the card.
Using silver to compliment.

The frame and embellishment were made using Cutting dies.

Im so behind with getting cards up on my blog, really need to post up more often :D

Vintage Car and Goggles Card

I made this card with toppers from Debbi Moore's craft mag.

This is one of the few Male Themed cards I make in a year, as most of the folks that I send card to are female.
I did like the vintage car topper, and the goggles were a nice touch, made it a bit more sporty :D

I rarely put ribbon on a Male themed card, but liked the affect of knotted ribbon on the tag I used.

I entered this card in the J Sheen - Ribbons Challenge

7 September 2013

Pink Butterfly Card

I used a lovely Hunkydory 3D design on this card.

The butterflies are very nice, so delicate and I liked the circular shape for a change when doing 3D layering

I used an embossing folder to decotate the side panel and with a couple of gems on it. And a Spellbinder edge cutting die to decorate

Nice to use the edge cutting die and an embossing folder on this. I dont always get chance to do this kind of affect
