Fancy Pink Art Deco Lady

A recent Debbi  Moore Craft Mag, came with a stunning set of Art Deco lady toppers and I have been itching to use them.

Lovely te detail in this dress, and those great long gloves.

I used the sizzix daisy floral die with one of my flourish dies to  make the embellishment.

Just to add a little bit more interest to the card, but its the artwork that really catches the eye on this card

Butterflies and Flowers Card

I am still using some free Hunkydory Toppers I got in a craft mag.
Very pretty designs, and such nice colours. Just what I needed to cheer up a damp spring day.

I recently got a set of vintage rose backing papers, just the right size for a 5x5 sqaure card.
And I also got playing with the various floral cutting dies I have in my collection.  I used two different ones for the embellishments, and a ivy flourish to finish.

Pretty card, lots of pattern, but not too overwhelming.

Vintage Campa Van Card

I had another of these fun vintage campa van toppers by Debbi Moore.

A good design for male cards and I made this simple card for one of the Craft Group members I work with

The star is a simple cutting die I have, again, a good shape for male cards.  And I used an embossing folder (dotted pattern) for the bottom layer.
I have been looking for a dotted embossing folder for ages and this is the right size for squares :D

Just added a touch of blue ink to highlight the dots.

Daisy Fairy Card

I used a Debbi Moore fairy design from one of her Craft Mags to make this card.  Such lovely artwork

And I used it with the sizzix daisy cutting die I have. I am still working on how I feel this looks best with the finished flowers.

The embossing folder I used on this one, is a new one, two patterns on the folder which makes for a lovely pattern on card and big enough to work as a backing layer on its own for a square card.

Sizzix Flowers Card

I made this card using various cutting dies.
Mostly I wanted to play with one of the recent Sizzix flower dies I added to my collection

I like the layering affect on this flower, and it comes in two shapes and two sizes, so four flowers that can be made.
On these ones I combined them with a different die for the center layer, which I think works really nicely

The Ivy die I used on this card, I got mostly for festive cards, however, it works well with flowers too, and I like how it wraps around the circular cutting shape :D

Pup in Window Card

I made this card using a design from a Joanna Sheen craft CD.
A lovely collection of cute cats and dogs, that I really love browsing, and really should  use more often to make cards.

I used one of my embossing panels on card to make the panel section and added a bit of glitter to the pattern

A simple card, but I liked the layering affect and love the cute dog :D

Fan Wall Hanger

This is a project I did with the Craft Group I work with - Stepping Stones 2to Group

As part of the sessions, I advice on how to use up scrap card and paper. One of the things I have done is use the groups scraps with my cutting dies and make them embellishments.

So this project was to work with colour, but colouring in Digital artwork.
And using various embellishments adding gems of their choice to decorate them

These wall hangers can be given as keepsake gifts , the members did, something a little different to a card :D

And a great way to be creative.

Knitted Shrug

I made this shrug to use up odd balls of Yarn.
The pattern is a free one - Redheart Shrug Pattern
This is the first shrug I have made and the first time I have done a garment on a circular needle.
I decided on a sleeveless design, as I felt it would be simpler to complete on the circular needle. I am more comfortable doing garments on straight needles.

At first I couldnt visualise how this garment could be wore. However, once finished I was quite pleased with it

The back is a simple rib pattern. However, I feel I could modify this pattern and add a lovely cable on the back.
Something to think about as I will probably do this shrug again in the future to use up odd balls of yarn.

And it goes well with the skirt I made with the same yarn
