Crocus Flower Card

I made this simple card with a elegant Crocus 3D.

I kept with lilac and purple shades - seems to be a trend with me of late :D

I used an embossing folder on purple card for the backing. And used a daisy cutting die, flourish die and Marianne butterfly die to make the embellishment.

I even got to use one of the layers of a Marianne frame cutting die too.

Really like the elegant affect of purple and silver together :D

Rustic Summer Flowers Card

I went for a rustic feel to this card, as the 3D flower design was in warm yellows and brown tones.
And Im being good again and using up stock that has been in my craft stash a while

I choose a vintage pattern for the paper.  And used acorn and leaf cutting dies, as well as cutting a butterfly with another die.

Made for a really pretty display  to compliment the 3D topper

My card making has slowed a little as I have a poorly dog. My old dog has had a stroke, something Ive faced before with previous dogs. So its a lot of TLC for her at present.

Vintage Spring Floral Card

I am still working through my craft stash and trying to save money

This design has been in my stash for a little while, and I have finally got around to using it.

The colours are really subtle, and also in my favourite shade - Purple

So I stayed with purple and white to blend with the colours in the 3D design.  Making the embellishment with a flourish cutting die and a bow made from ribbon.

A nice spring card

Fantasy Purple Lady Card

This is a design from a Debbi Moore craft CD. I have a few craft CD's and only have so many cards to make in a year.
So it's nice to revisit older CD's, especially when the artwork is so nice.

I combined this lovely delicate lady design, with my cutting dies. I used a flourish, butterfly and flower dies to make the embellishment.

Purple is one of my favourite colours, so I stayed with various tones of purple as much as possible for this card, though I did like the contrast of the white for the flourish

I like Inspirational Quotes and thought I would share some with crafters on my blog -

Pocket Card

I made this card as a Craft Project with the Stepping Stones 2to Group.

See more information about this group here - Stepping Stones 2to Group

I used a template to create the pocket, but decided to leave the top of the pocket open

And then decorated a plain tag, to sit inside the pocket.

Made for an interesting extra embellishment.

I used my cutting dies to add the extra embellishments (bird houses and little birds) and to decorate the tag.

I take the scrap materials from Group sessions and use my cutting dies to make the Group Members embellishments too.  This saves them money as I feel they are just as nice as shop purchased embellishments :D

This is a fun theme for men and women, as you can choose whatever colour theme and types of embellishments to decorate

Flower Lady

I have had this 3D design in my stash for ages, and finally got around to using it.

I had the butterfly toppers in my stash too, and just used two different sizes, and a flourish cutting die to make the embellishment.

My card making has slowed down quite a bit. Though, by Summer, I'll be doing festive cards again :D

Handbags and Flowers

I made this card using a Hunkydory handbag topper - one that came with a craft mag.

And I made the embellishments with flower and ivy cutting dies.

Went to for a simple look with this card.  Though I did have fun using various papers and layering shapes to make the flowers.

Elegant Vintage Lady in subtle Pinks

I made this card using a topper from a Debbi Moore craft mag.

I love the elegant artwork, so detailed and such lovely subtle colours

I combined the topper with embellishments made using various cutting dies. I used two different sets for the flower, and really pleased how that turned out

I never seem to tire of the artwork Debbi Moore offers, especially the vintage lady range :D

Ball Room Gown Card

I decided to pick a slightly different theme for Mothers Day card this year.
Went with this lovely Evening Dress design by Debbi Moore

Its the kind of dress I'd like to wear myself, if I had anywhere to go nice enough to wear one.

I played with floral cutting dies, and a swirl cutting die for the embellishment, enough to make an interesting display without distracting from the pretty dress.

Doesnt show on this photo, but the base card had a subtle embossed pattern too.

Even though its blue's and greys I felt this still turned out very delicate, and great shades for a ladies card.
