Vintage Perfumes

I really like vintage designs, and this old dufex one I had in my stash, is lovely

The design doesnt look quite so vintage with being in dufex, so I went for vibrant modern colours and patterns

I used a few cutting dies too, one for the frame, and the butterfly one - cut in glitter so the light catches the butterflies :D

Stunning Sea Scene

This design is a Thomas Kinkade, one of the collection I got from Joanna Sheen.

The artwork is just so nice, and I could see myself standing on that shore

The green base card blends well with the green tones in the design
And I got to use a lovely leaf cutting die I got late last year, there are two sizes in the set, and this is the smaller one
I painted the leaves in bronze mica, lovely affect and great detail

This is a good male themed card :D

White Floral and Owl

I have recently been searching through my craft stash and found some designs I've had for a while

This lovely white floral design, was only small. Generally I wouldnt use such a small design on a card, as I feel they look a bit lost.  However, this one fit well with small cutting layer dies I have.
Also I thought white would go quite nice, as a colour theme.
So I embossed white card with one of my embossing folders.
And used an Owl cutting die with white card, the green and bronze add a contrast and despite not being a good photo of the metalic design, do blend with colours in the topper.

Quite like the affect, as normally I wouldn't use such a small design on a card :D

Golden Art Deco Lady Card

The design on this card is one from a Debbi Moore craft cd.

I love the artwork, and the elegant lady range is still my favourite theme to use on cards.

The base card is a salmon shade, and for the base on this card I embossed a pattern in orange card.

I used a feather cutting die in gold mirror board and a floral cutting die in orange again (though it was painted with gold mica) for the embellishment.

Reallt like the affect of this card, its bold, yet still elegant :D

Jazzed up Sports Car

I have a few car design that I made myself in my digital collection, and used one of those for this card

I decided on a modern look for this card, and used holographic card for the layering and also for the embellishments - which were made with a Gears cutting die.

The backing paper, does have a slighly aged look, however, it works well with the overall card.
A great male themed card :D

Lattice Metalic Flowers

I have a selection of metal 3D sheets, in floral design in my craft stash.
They have been there a while, as when I first got them, I never thought about how I would match the metalic affect with mat affect backing papers.

So for this card, I went with using a cutting die with a lattice layer, over a solid layer. Keeping with the metalic affect, I used holographic card for the bottom solid layer, which shows though quite well on the white lattace layer.

I made the other embellishment with a key cutting die and made my own bow.

Quite a contrast in colours and textures for this card, made for an interesting affect

Metal Roses

I have been searching through my craft stash again and found this lovely 3D sheet that I have had for a while

The delicate rose design has been printed onto metalic sheets, and made into a pyramid sheet. However, the overall design is quite small.

The colours in the design were quite subtle, so I used a subtle patterned paper, but made the embellishment, using cutting dies, quite bold.  The fancy card and glitter card are a nice contrast to the subtle rose 3D design

I am not sure which is the focal point for this card, but I do like the overall affect

Vintage Sailing

I revisited one of my Joanna Sheen craft Cd's for the design used on this card

I've not used this design very much, which is a shame, as it is clean, simple, but affective

The embellishment was made with a fob watch cutting die I have, lots of parts involved in making that watch, which is why I don't use it very often
But I do like the finished embellishment :D

Bauble and Fancy Tree

Another smaller hunkydory topper, that I wanted to use.
Again, really nice artwork, and I liked the shape of the topper too

The cutting dies I have made the difference with the card, otherwise this topper would of looked a bit lonely on its own

And the bauble cutting die used on this card has become one of my favourites, such lovely detail - and it was free in a craft mag :D

Cute Deer and Sledge

I had some small hunkydory toppers, and wanted to try and make some cards with them
I tend to use larger toppers on my cards, as I like to see the detail in artwork

There was a lovely ribbon strip on the sheet with this topper, which I also used
And of course I had to use my cutting dies, this cute deer just adds a little bit of interest :D

Elegant Vintage Couple

I rarely get to use the lovely couple designs that Debbi Moore offers.
So thought I would do this lovely card, with one of the larger toppers from her craft mag.

The artwork is from the My Fair Lady craft CD, and really is so nice.
I mounted on gold mirror card and the base card is lightly embossed

The embellishments were made with a couple of of my cutting dies, painted with cosmic paints. The flowers I did a few layers to give them depth.

And even got to make a fancy bow too.  I really like this card, so detailed, but still elegant.
