Heels in Pink

I've had this lovely topper in my digital design for a long time, and finally used it on a card
I printed the design onto Satin paper, hence the soft affect

I love the roses and leaves on the shoes, so delicate.
I kept the backing paper delicate, it has tiny rose buds which compliment the roses on those shoes

The embellishment was made with a couple of cutting dies, the butterfly has a lovely spotted embossed pattern, which I added a bit of glitter onto.

years ago, I learned the history of shoe making and how to make shoes. I remember the story about why  heels were added to female shoes (apparently ladies we look good when we walk in heels) Heels on shoes are much higher now, they look great, though I couldn't walk in them :D

Cute Mouse at Christmas

Cute animals at Christmas, a great theme for festive time

The 3D design is one by Debbi Moore, from her craft mag.

I have some lovely bauble cutting dies, and was lucky to have some nice bauble backing paper to compliment the theme

The bauble was cut out of glitter card, love a bit of glitter especially on festive cards
I did find it difficult to cut the bauble with glitter card, probably the thick layer of glitter causing the problem, it is easier to cut out if done from the back.

Metalics

I made this card with a small dufex 3D design, it is one of those I had in my stash for a while, as I didn't want to tackle cutting out those leaves

The design was as awkward as I had feared, and dufex is pretty unforgiving if you catch the design whilst cutting out

I made a small embellishment to compliment the design, not going too fussy has the card is quite small, with using a small 3D design

Not my favourite rose floral backing paper, however, I covered most of the pattern with layering

Pink and Red Fuschia - Free Art

Please click on the image for larger version, safe to PC and resize as required before printing

I have so many vintage floral designs in my digital stash, and has yet not made design sheets with them all. I spend hours looking through the images trying to decide which one to choose :D
I love these flowers, they are so pretty and had this design for a while.
I decided to go for quite modern affects with each topper, and creating interesting blends for the tag :D

Look Back In Time 3

Looking back to a few years ago at projects I have forgotten I had made.

This card was for a friend, their anniversary - sadly the lady I made it for has pass away, I remember how much she liked this lovely design
The design is from a Joanna Sheen craft CD, love the design in the collection is from, the detail is lovely

This card I made for a challenge four years ago.

The original design is by Debbi Moore and I still use the flower cutting die on my cards, its one of my favourites

On occasions, I have made wedding projects, this project I made 4 years ago, and it is one of the few times I have used the Glitter Girls embossing board which includes the horse shoe design

Sledge with Candles

I made this card with various elements
The main topper is one by hunkydory, the artwork is modern,  and I love the detail

I used patterned vellum for the base later, which has a brown tint as the base card is brown
The embellishment was made using a couple of my cutting dies, I used glitter card for the holly

I have only had the candle cutting die since last year, however, I haven't used it much, as I don't find the design that much to my liking. I have recently purchased a different candle cutting die, see if that set works better for me

Anyone for Rugby

I made this card with a Debbi Moore design.

I like to try and made sure my cards have been received by those I send them to, before sharing on my blog, and totally forgot I had done this one.
It was really nice to get some nice, new designs that I could use on male cards, its a section I am lacking in my digital and craft stock.

The card was made for someone that loves Rugby and also was involved in the sport. So I was really pleased when I saw this design, as I knew just the person who would like it on a card

House Mouse in the Kitchen

It's September! This year has been a busy one for me so far, not just with crafting, but with my Volunteering work. I feel like I've blinked and suddenly it's just a few months from Christmas (lol)

I made this card with a House Mouse design, love the cheeky mice in this design, as they are playing with broken cups - did make me smile.

I do like the subtle colours in the design, however, I wanted to lift the colours a little so went with subtle but slightly strong shades in the layered card used. I also embossed a nice floral pattern in the card, felt it would compliment the pattern in the cups

It was had to think of an embellishment to go with this card, I don't have any cutting dies that reflect the kitchen
So I went with swirl and bird house, just to add a bit of interest

Gothic Christmas Lady

This card was made using a Debbi Moore design

The artwork has a victorian gothic feel, I can imagine this lady living in an old mansion, with iron gates and high brick walls :D

Yet, the artwork still has an elegant feel, and I like that elegance. Just adds a bit of class to a festive card.

I used backing papers too, with this card that came with one of Debbi Moore's craft mags, I find the papers can be a little over detailed, but with the topper being of a reasonable size, the backing pattern doesnt overwhelm

I added some detailed embellishments, as I wanted to add to the opulent feel to this card. So the holly is cut out in fine glittered card, the leaves are painted with cosmic paint
