Vintage Baubles

I have a lovely selection of vintage digital art
And this card is made with one of those designs, that I made into a topper

I really liked the colours in the artwork, so went for pale lilac on the topper
And darker purples to make the card, the bauble I cut out with glitter card
The snowflake cutting die is very detailed and I am finding it difficult to cut it out in glitter card and mirror card, took a few attempts to eventually get this one to cut out properly for this card

However, it looks lovely, really catches the light

Sleeping under Christmas Tree

I made this card with a House Mouse design

I love the design on this card, such a warm, cute image. It reflects the emotional warmth of the festive season

I have a festive embossing folder, that I rarely use, due to the shape really, so tried it on this card
And just made a simple embellishment with Marianne Bauble and Bell die and ribbon

Bright and Flowers

Its winter, and I'm doing bright flower cards :D

It's a great way to brighten up a cold, wet, windy day.

I used two layers under the toppers on this card, one pink slightly textured card, ad the other glossy green card was embossed with a folder
The colours worked well with the bright floral topper

I used more of the patterned stickers on this card, do really need to try and use all those up and just added a flourish using Xcut Dies – Flourish Dies

A vibrant, colourful, busy card, and it works well

Elegant Fatbook Pages

I have a couple of friends that I do craft swaps with and recently decided to do a fat book page for each

Its not often I get chance to make something a bit different so it was nice to use up some smaller craft items to make these two pretty projects

The small lady toppers are Debbi Moore designs, really pretty, but too small for a card.

I like doing fat book projects as it is a good way to use the smaller bits in my craft stash

Simple Trees for Christmas

Another Hunkydory card

The tree design, on this topper is slightly more traditional, however, the pattern is very much like the patchwork affect of previous toppers of theirs

Again the birds and foliage are part of the collage, really like the modern look of these festive toppers

I wanted to use foliage for embellishments so I combined two cutting dies to compliment the topper
I am trying to combine cutting dies from different sets to get more use of them, and hopefully make interesting embellishments

Elegant Gold

The elegant lady design on this card is one by Debbi Moore

I do like the shade of gold in the dress, deep and lush. I used a salmon shade for the base card, and cold mirror for the card layer
I used one of my embossing folders on the mirror board, lovely deep pattern, they always make a nice affect of plain card

The embellishment was made using an owl cutting die with ivy, keeping with a slight garden feel of the topper

MIrror affect is the same as glitter, not easy to photograph, it reflects everything so I never get the full affect of how nice a card can look

Bird and Hearts

I used Hunkydory elements on this card, the artwork is almost like a patchwork effect

I have noticed a lot of birds in artwork this year, found myself using them quite a bit too.

The tree on this topper is cleverly made up of birds and hearts, really nice affect, and a little bit different from the traditional look

I kept the card reasonably simple, using a border that matched the topper and a Marianne Bauble cutting die for the embellishment.

Bold Poppy's

I love this card
I had the poppy design in my digi stash for a while and finally made it into a 3D sheet, with a simple frame

I rarely use so much black on a card, however the lovely colours of the poppy flowers led me to use black as a backing, leaving a small edging of the white based card

I embossed the black card with one of my embossing folders, really nice two levelled pattern

And used one of the Xcut Dies – Flourish Dies with a bow I made for an embellishment

The finished card, is simple, bold, and so eye catching :D

All in Blue Girl Free Art

I enjoy making various elements to offer as freebies for crafters. Decided to offer the elements as separate images, then folks can download what they like :D

Any feedback on offering each element as separate images to downloaded would be much appreciated

Pine Tree and Deer

I made this card with dies I got this year, and decided to try make a card using just dies.

The paper is one I got last year from Docraft, they are 12x12 papers, so much larger than I needed

So thought of using parts of the papers on cards as part of the focus.

I always look out for examples of cards using cutting dies before I buy any. And did the same with these
However, as often the way :D, when I come to use them I hit a mental block.

The combination of the different sized trees and the deer work quite well together, they are different die sets, from different companies.

I am wondering if I can find a way to layer the trees, going by those cut sections in the design, will try that in future I think

Pretty Pinks - Elegant Lady Card

The design on this card is one by Debbi Moore, one of her elegant Art Deco Range.

I love the shade of pink in the artwork, very elegant, and subtle.
So for this card decided to work with mostly pink.

A little difficult to find all the shade that may blend in well together, and the butterfly, I decided to go with a bolder look, so it would stand out.

The embossing on the pink card is part of an embossing folder, that I really love, and as usual forget to use.

Do like the overall affect, the various patterned layers don't overwhelm the main topper

Fur Festive Lady

This card was made with a topper collage I made from my digital collection.

I noticed I've not done many elegant lady cards for this xmas, so made this lovely vintage lady design into a topper

The tree, was made with a cutting die I am struggling with, to the extent that I will probably stop using it and just use my newer tree dies.

Simple little card, I try do a mix of simple and more detailed cards for xmas, handy when I don't have a as much spare time to fit in some card making

Maps and Car

I made this card with a collage that I created from my digital art collection
It combines a modern car with vintage elements

I used some holographic board to make the gears to go on this card, and the backing paper has an aged look

So the whole card is a mix of modern and vintage, and of course a good one or a male card :D

Festive Watering Can

I have been searching through my digital designs this year, to find artwork I haven't used before, to make xmas cards

This card was made with one of those designs, a lovely festive potting design, which would also make a lovely winter birthday card

I used an acorn cutting die and branch die to make the embellishment

I even got to use the nice embossing folder that I got a couple of years ago :D

Daisy Wheel

It has been a while since I made a card with cutting dies only

I made this card with a daisy cutting die, using the extra stem middle for a change
The petals are cut out separately so are very fiddly, I painted them all with my cosmic paints

The rest of the dies used were a frame one, bird house set and sprig

they all worked well together and I did like the wreath affect
