I will be posting all my freebies on a Face Book Group to share high quality free art, both the collages and free ZIA projects for colouring.

Westies for Christmas

A simple festive card, I made this with a topper I designed from my digital collection
I have a small collection of Mask designs that I use in my Paint Shop Pro program, this topper uses one of those as well as other elements

I combined the topper with my favourite bauble cutting die - DieSire Snowflake Bauble, using holographic card

Simple little card, with plenty of interesting elements

Llama Zentangle Inspired Art

I used a blank Ben Kwok template to create this project

I have a nice collection of zentangle patterns that I am learning to draw, some I find pretty difficult and some I just can't manage.
Part of my difficulty is that the instructions for the patterns, for me, is not easy to follow.

However, I am managing to draw a few patterns, and I enjoyed doing this project.

I have not coloured this design in as yet, and I am sure it will look quite different once I add shading to these patterns, however, I do find the black and white version striking.
Hope visitors are enjoying the ZIA projects I am sharing and may be inspired to try doing their own

Cute Festive Mice

Isnt this the sweetest design. I have a few craft CD's of animal designs, and this is one from a collection of winter ones.

The winter animal designs are great for festive cards, though I think they would look great as winter birthday cards too

The embellishments on this card was made with

Marianne D Creatables - Pinecones & Branch, I really like the embossing detail in the pinecones, works really well with mirror board

Simple card, but still plenty of interest, especially with the detailed artwork

Night of Glamour

I made this card with a Debbi Moore design, the artwork is lovely and I just love that gown
Definately a dress to wear to feel glam in at a party

I used vintange patterned paper and one of my embossing folders to do the layering

And kept the rest of the card simple, just added a simple gold double bow and some gems, simple and elegant

Yellow Roses

The design I used on this card was from my large collection of art on CD
This CD I got from Joanna Sheen

I love the detail in the roses, close up you can see drops of water

I kept the card simple, as I printed the design quite large so that the detail was visible.

The cutting die I used, is a recent one I got this year,Tonic Dragonfly, I cut it out with glitter card, so it really catches the light

Fly Catcher Zentangle Inspired Art

I used a blank Kwok template for this project

I try and at least one new zentangle pattern new to me per project. I managed one, though the rest of the design I used patterns I was familiar with, and also had to fill in section with lines as there wasn't enough space for me to do a whole recogniseable pattern

This is the first time I have done a bird design, do like the affect, though it was more of a challenge working with small sections

I did like how cute this turned out, and sure it will look quite different again, once I get chance to colour it in

Rose and Owl

I used a Debbi Moore design on this card, the rose is lovely, works so nicely as a 3D design

Just a small design so plenty of space to view a nice piece of card patterned with one of my embossing folders, love this one - which I got free from a craft mag.

The embellishment is made with one of the owls from the Tattered Lace Die Owl Trio

Smaller elements used on this card to showcase that lovely embossing folder.

Angel Topper - Free Art

Time for a new freebie. The theme is subtle toned angel. Quite often angel designs are in festive colours for christmas. Thought it would be nice to do a more summer/autumn feel angel that can be used on other themed projects

A tag shaped topper, can be used as a topper, or as a tag.

Fancy Poinsettia

This card I made with a topper I created from my own digital art stash.
It's a combination of patterns, frame and poinsettia image. Do like this collage project :D

I have a collection of larger backing papers, A3 size, were the pattern is bigger and due to me mostly making no larger than 6x6 cards, I have found it difficult to use these papers.
However, I printed the topper to a size that would allow me to use one of those papers, and still be able to see the lovely pattern.

I combined my favourite festive cutting die -

Lea'bilities Wafer thin Die - Poinsettia Set. The embossing pattern for this die is lovely, really deep
I also have some wording dies, which I used the xmas one for this card.

A lovey card, such nice colours and plenty of interesting elements

German Shepherd Zentangle Inspired Art

I used a blank Ben Kwok template to create this project

I got a book earlier this year with various zentangle patterns, and some of those patterns I used on this project
I also found a website - tangle patterns.com

it has many lovely patterns, with step by step instructions.
Some I have found to be quite complex, but hopefully with practice will be able to master a few

Because I have so many colouring in books now, I have decided to just share my black and white ZIA projects, so that I have more time to colour in other artwork.
I will eventually get to colour in my own :D
Really like how I worked the patterns on this dog template, I seem to be getting better at combining different patterns together

Hope visitors find my ZIA interesting and inspirating others to try this lovely hobby.

Lilac Elegance

The topper design from this card is one by Debbi Moore, I return to her elegant lady collections so many times, as the artwork is so detailed and pretty

The embellishments for this card were kept quite simple, however, were interesting as I used flock for the flourishes. I like texture on cards, and find I like to touch a card with texture. It's part of the experience of recieving a handmade item being able to run your finger around the card and feel the different textures.

I think this is the lovely difference about handmade cards, they are always different, have interesting elements and quite often have texture so even those with eyesight problems can appreciate a card by touch.

Barn Robin

Seems strange to be posting winter cards in summer, though it always works that way for me as I tend to make most of my festive cards during the summer months :D

I've been searching through my digital collection to find designs I have yet to use, it's always so easy to stay with the ones I love the best
This stunning robin topper is one I hadn't used before, it had got missed in the large collection of digital images I have on various craft CD's

I decided to do a little bit of layering for this card, and embossed some shiny gold paper for part of the layering
I have a collection of patterned edged cards, and most be honest I struggle to use these as I much prefer to have backing paper going to the edges, still int has made me get creative

The embellishment I kept simple, using one of the candles from Marianne D Creatables Candles die set, cut out in red glitter card and made a simple bow for it

Red Socks for Christmas

I've a few digital designs in my collection, so many, that I have yet to use them all
This is the first time I have used this festive sock design, I added the frame and corner designs to the artwork for extra interest

The embellishment was made with my favourite cutting die for using on my festive cards Lea'bilities Wafer thin Die - Poinsettia Set.
I used red glitter card to make this and shiny gold paper, love the effect.

All of my cards are made for friends and family, and I still very much enjoy making them even after many years.
